Eka Butcher Set | Wild Boar Butchering Kit
Dedicated to wild boar hunters
Eka has created a kit dedicated to wild boar butchery: a unique knife set, made exclusively for Italy and designed for the specific challenges that wild boar butchery entails compared to other ungulates.
Designed by expert wild boar hunters, each knife in the kit has a precise utility in processing the animal, with particular attention to the complexity of skinning a wild boar compared to a red deer or a roe deer. The new Butcher Set supports every stage of butchering and cutting the meat of the suid.
The various tools allow you to work on the animal either alone or with others: hunting becomes even more of a shared experience.
The convenient carrying case contains 6 tools: 5 knives from the professional EKA PRO series and a sharpening steel of the same hardness as the blades. An indispensable tool for every hunter who wants to bring what they have harvested to the table.
Fillet & Boning – reinforced filleting and boning knife
This is EKA's best-selling butchery knife, designed for tasks that require maximum flexibility and precision. The reinforcement at the base, between the handle and the blade, makes it a unique tool.
The very thin profile of the blade follows the femur or the shoulder of the wild boar perfectly, for a precise cut even in the tightest spots. The 16 cm length guarantees maximum freedom of movement, ideal for those approaching butchery: a precision all-rounder.
The sharpening and the Sandvik steel make it extremely precise, not only in boning but also in fine work on the most delicate and prized cuts.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 16 cm
Gut Opener – skinning knife
A specific knife for the initial stage of butchery. The rounded profile of the blade allows you to open the belly of the wild boar from the inside, without coming into contact with the bristles and without damaging the edge.
The steel guarantees a very long-lasting edge, ideal for teams working on multiple animals in succession.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 58 HRC, 8 cm
Boning – boning knife
A rigid boning knife: the reinforcement at the start of the blade offers the rigidity needed to work even on a large-sized wild boar.
The blade profile allows you to work at every angle of the bone for quick and precise cleaning.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 58 HRC, 16 cm
Butcher – butchery knife
A wide and flexible blade, ideal for the final stages of processing, when a clean and precise cut of the meat is needed.
Lightweight and easy to handle, it is used every day even in professional butcher shops, especially when processing meat cuts. Ideal for preparing stew meat and slices.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 59 HRC, 18 cm, wide blade
Skinning – skinner
A knife with a curved profile, specific for skinning wild boar.
The rounded tip is designed not to cut the hide and not to come into contact with the bristles during skinning. The curved profile and the flexibility of the blade ensure a clean and precise cut, which separates the hide from the muscles without damaging the meat.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 59 HRC, 16 cm
Sharpening steel with Santoprene™ handle
Of the same hardness as the blades, it allows you to revive the edge of each knife during processing.
