New G5 Swedblade
The evolution of the original double blade.
Introducing the evolution of the field dressing knives most loved by hunters worldwide, the EKA Swedblade G5 and G6.
The double blade for eviscerating and skinning ungulates, which inspired many other manufacturers, now features a drop point, fully flat cutting blade, perfect for working on game.
The two blades simply alternate with the push of a button, and the back of the main blade has an initial depression to facilitate finger pressure during use.
Both the Swedblade G5 and G6 use very strong Sandvik 12C27 steel for the blades, hardened to 59 HRC, ensuring truly exceptional strength and edge retention. The handle is very ergonomic to ensure a perfect grip with both blades and is made of Proflex™, a synthetic material with a particularly effective anti-slip grip.
PROFLEX™ is an elastomer (a strong and elastic material, a polymer in a rubbery state) soft to the touch, but which provides a very solid hold and excellent grip.
In terms of safety, the ease of unlocking the mechanism that allows the two blades to rotate and interchange during use has been further improved.
Here are the details of the new G5 and G6 versions:
• New flat ground drop point blade design for improved field performance.
• Improved blade unlocking mechanism for greater safety and ease of use.
• Updated Kydex sheath for improved portability and safety.
• Serial number on each knife for registration and warranty.
The difference between G5 and G6 lies in the type of internal mechanism. The G6 can be completely disassembled via a button located at the bottom of the handle. An ingenious system for completely disassembling and easily reassembling the knife, to remove hair and processing residue even in the most inaccessible places.
