Rusan Two-Piece Modular Adapter for Thermal Clip-on

MAXIMUM SPEED AND PRECISION OF CONNECTION

HOW IT WORKS

The modular Rusan adapter is composed of TWO PARTS:

• a MCR RING that screws onto the eyepiece of the Calonox Sight, Sight SE and Sight 2 which can remain screwed onto the eyepiece even during observation. For Leica Calonox Sight and Sight SE you need MCR-52, for the new Calonox 2 Sight the MCR-43. For other thermal devices see at the bottom of the page.
• an adapter part that slides and locks onto the scope objective, closing with your finger the appropriate lever once the adapter is fully seated, making sure to center it with the white arrow at 12 o'clock with respect to the scope objective. Each scope has a different external objective diameter, so you need to specify the required size in your order.

To use the Calonox for observation, the Rusan ring screwed onto the eyepiece certainly does not offer the comfort of Leica's soft rubber eye cup, but compared to the one-piece adapter it allows you to keep your eye at the optimal distance from the lens.

To purchase the COMPLETE MODULAR ADAPTER you need to buy two separate parts: THE RING and the MODULAR ADAPTER (CHOOSE THE EXTERNAL DIAMETER SIZE OF THE BELL).

The attachment of the Calonox to the optic with the modular adapter is extremely fast.

The white arrow on the Rusan ring that screws onto the Calonox eyepiece indicates where to insert it corresponding to the white arrow on the Rusan tube mounted on the scope objective, then simply rotate less than a quarter turn the sliding locking ring (lock) with bayonet on the eyepiece ring.

The additional advantage of this adapter is that the ring has a fixed mounting position, which ensures the Calonox is positioned perfectly aligned with the line of sight, avoiding further adjustments to get the reticle perfectly aligned with the Calonox screen.
