Eka Butcher Set | Wild Boar Butchering Kit
Dedicated to wild boar hunters
EKA has created a kit dedicated to wild boar butchery: a unique set of knives, made exclusively for Italy and designed for the specific challenges that this suid presents compared to other ungulates.
Designed alongside expert boar hunters, each knife has a precise task in the processing of the animal, with special attention to skinning, which is much more demanding than on a deer or a roe deer. The kit covers all stages, from opening the animal to cutting the meat.
With multiple tools at your disposal, you can work alone or in a team: hunting becomes even more of a shared experience.
What's inside
Inside the hard case you will find 6 tools: 5 knives from the EKA PRO professional series and a sharpening steel with the same hardness as the blades. An indispensable tool for every hunter who wants to bring what they have harvested to the table.
- Gut Opener – gut opener, 8 cm blade
- Skinning – skinner, 16 cm blade
- Boning – rigid boning knife, 16 cm blade
- Fillet & Boning – filleting and boning knife, 16 cm blade
- Butcher – butcher knife, 18 cm blade
- Sharpening steel – 18 cm
Gut Opener
The knife for the first stage of butchery. The rounded profile of the blade allows you to open the belly of the wild boar from the inside, without touching the bristles and without dulling the edge.
The steel guarantees a very long-lasting sharpness, ideal for teams processing several animals in a row.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 58 HRC, 8 cm
Skinning
A knife with a curved profile, specifically for skinning wild boar.
The rounded tip is designed not to cut the hide and not to come into contact with the bristles during flaying. The curved profile and the flexibility of the blade ensure a clean, precise cut that separates the skin from the muscles without damaging the meat.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 59 HRC, 16 cm
Boning
Rigid boning knife: the reinforcement at the start of the blade offers the rigidity needed to work even on large wild boar.
The blade profile allows you to work at any angle around the bone for quick and precise cleaning.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 58 HRC, 16 cm
Fillet & Boning
This is EKA's best-selling butcher knife, designed for tasks that require maximum flexibility and precision. The reinforcement at the base, between the handle and the blade, makes it a unique tool.
The extremely thin blade profile perfectly follows the femur or shoulder of the wild boar, for a precise cut even in the tightest spots. The 16 cm length ensures maximum freedom of movement: a precision all-rounder, also ideal for those new to butchery.
The sharpness and the Sandvik steel make it extremely precise, not only for boning but also for fine work on more delicate and prized cuts.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 16 cm
Butcher
A wide and flexible blade, ideal for the final stages of processing, when a clean and precise cut of the meat is required.
Light and easy to handle, it is used daily in professional butcher shops as well, especially for processing meat cuts. Ideal for preparing stews and steaks.
Blade: Sandvik 12C27 steel, 59 HRC, 18 cm, wide blade
Sharpening steel with Santoprene™ handle
Of the same hardness as the blades, it allows you to hone the edge of each knife during processing.
